Photography, for me, is about finding things. And showing you, the viewer, these findings. It's never been an easy task, and my reasons for taking pictures have not been entirely justifiable. I've spent more sleepless nights pondering what photography is/was/can be/should be than I'd care to mention. But in the end, I stay satisfied. I smile when I find the world's little perfections. Oddly enough, those perfections are existing consensually with the imperfections that surround them. The harmony this relationship exudes transcends description. And why should it be otherwise? '
Given that photography is different for everyone, I've deduced that it is, and always will be, a memory saving medium that presents to me an opportunity. I feel people everywhere are beginning to learn exactly how important that is, myself included. Today, there are millions of people taking pictures all over the world, for a million different reasons. I stay rather enthused by reminding myself that there is no better way for me to relay my memories than this. Truth be told, I consider myself a storyteller.
I was once asked this question: "Would you rather be a photographer, or would you rather have photographed?" They were essentially asking me, "What do you treasure most? Now or later? The experience or the memories? " I'd hate to cheat, but I still can't answer this any other way but, "Both".
